Mary Frost, author of Going Back To The Basics of Human Health, said it best:
When people are trying so hard to do the right thing, why aren’t the results long-term? Why do they feel so great when they start taking vitamins and later feel fatigued again? Why are 95% of the people who lose weight unable to keep it off? Why are the statistics on heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes getting worse? My studies have left me to conclude that the 3 major culprits are: [Read more…]
Synthetic Vitamins versus Food Concentrates
Ever wonder why your urine is neon yellow when you take synthetic vitamins?
You cannot compare the amounts (milligrams) of vitamins in a synthetic formula to that of a food concentrate. Foods (e.g. organic kale or carrots) and food concentrates contain small amounts of hundreds of nutrients not listed on the label. Food concentrates are low dose and high potency, whereas synthetics are high dose and low potency.

Myths and Truths about Cholesterol
From a Weston A. Price brochure entitled ‘Myths & Truths about Cholesterol’ (not in its entirety):
Myth: Cholesterol and saturated fat clog arteries.
Truth: There is very little cholesterol or saturated fat in the arterial plaque or clogs. Most of the material is a calcium deposit akin to lime and most of the fatty acids are unsaturated.
Myth: Cholesterol-lowering drugs have saved many lives.
Truth: In the two most recent trials, involving over ten thousand subjects, cholesterol-lowering did not result in any improvement in outcome.
Myth: Countries that have a high consumption of animal fat and cholesterol have higher rates of heart disease.
Truth: There are MANY exceptions to this observation, such as France and Spain. Furthermore, an association (called a “risk factor”) is not the same as a cause. In wealthy countries where people eat a lot of animal foods, many other factors exist that can contribute to heart disease.
How to avoid heart disease:

We all have that relative whose fart smells sooo bad that it clears a four story building. You know who I am talking about! 🙂
What is actually happening is the digested proteins are not breaking down correctly because the stomach acids are low or absent – achlorhydria (complete absence of HCL) or hypochlorhydria (diminished HCL). There is a gas building up from the proteins and that is where the farting is coming from. If you don’t have [Read more…]
Just Because It’s Common, Doesn’t Make it Normal Series: Kidney stones
Ouch! When you have kidney stones, there’s not enough phosphorous to hold the calcium in solution and the extra calcium starts precipitating out of the body fluids. If it precipitates into your kidneys, it forms kidney stones. If onto your teeth, it is tartar. If it’s in your bones, it’s arthritis. All symptoms of phosphorous deficiency. This doesn’t mean you have too much phosphorous. It just means you don’t have enough calcium to buckle the phosphorous.
